# Dashboard Overview

## Module Overview

When you log in to the system, you are redirected to the **Dashboard**. The Dashboard gives you a quick picture of schemes, financial totals, PC form activity, and—depending on your role—visit plans, M&E reports, or performance indicators. Think of it as your home screen: a place to orient yourself before diving into Schemes, PC Forms, or Meetings.

Planning & Development users and department staff see a **PC-focused Dashboard** with scheme statistics and an interactive map. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) officers see an **analytics Dashboard** focused on visits, reports, and field performance.

## Navigation

1. Sign in to PMS.
2. You arrive on the Dashboard automatically.
3. To return later, click the **home / brand icon** at the top of the left sidebar, or select **Dashboard** from the Overview section of the menu.

## Screen Overview

### P&D / Department Dashboard (PC Tabs View)

At the top of the Dashboard you will see a row of tabs:

| Tab | Purpose |
|-----|---------|
| **Overview** | Main summary—fully built with live data |
| **PC-I** | PC-I focused view (placeholder content may appear while updates are rolled out) |
| **PC-II** | PC-II focused view |
| **PC-III** | PC-III (A and B) focused view |
| **PC-IV** | PC-IV focused view |
| **PC-V** | PC-V focused view |

Click any tab to switch. The **Overview** tab is where you spend most of your time today.

#### Overview Tab — Hero Stat Cards

Six summary cards appear in a row:

| Card | What It Shows |
|------|---------------|
| **Total schemes in BMS** | Count of all schemes in the portfolio |
| **On-going** | Schemes currently in implementation |
| **New schemes** | Newly approved pipeline schemes |
| **Completed schemes** | Schemes marked completed |
| **FPA schemes** | Schemes with foreign project assistance |
| **PC forms submitted** | Total PC forms (PC-I through PC-V) submitted |

These cards give you instant counts without opening the Schemes or PC Forms modules.

#### Portfolio Financial Snapshot

Below the hero cards, a financial panel shows amounts in **million Rs.**:

- **Total cost of schemes**
- **Total allocation**
- **Total expenditure**
- **Total release**

Use this panel to understand the financial scale of the development portfolio at a glance.

#### Interactive Sindh Map

A map of Sindh displays scheme locations as markers.

- Use the **tehsil filter** (e.g., "All Sindh") to narrow markers.
- **Click any marker** on the map.
- A **scheme detail panel** opens beside or below the map showing:
  - Scheme name
  - UID and ADP numbers
  - Financial progress
  - Physical progress
  - Cost information

If no scheme is selected, the panel shows: *"No scheme selected yet — Click any marker on the map below to load scheme details."*

#### Regional Distribution Chart

A **donut chart** shows how schemes are distributed across regions. This helps you see geographic concentration of development work.

### M&E Dashboard (Analytics View)

If you hold an M&E role, your Dashboard uses a different layout with tabs such as:

| Tab | Purpose |
|-----|---------|
| **Overview** | Scheme counts, LTBC watchlists, report summaries, map |
| **Visits** | Visit statistics by region and type |
| **M&E Reports** | Report pipeline overview |
| **Performance** | Performance gauges and rankings |
| **Trend & Analytics** | Trends over time |
| **PCs Submission** | PC submission tracking |

Tabs appear based on your permissions—not every M&E user sees every tab.

#### Overview Tab (M&E) — Key Cards

Examples of cards you may see:

- Total Schemes, On-going Schemes
- **LTBC** (Low Throw-Forward Budgetary Cases)
- **LTBC (0% FP)** — schemes with zero financial progress
- CFY Expenditure, Target (CFY)
- Published Reports, Satisfactory, Un-Satisfactory
- Departmental Enquiry, Under Process, Success Rate

#### Visits Tab

Shows visit activity:

- Total assigned schemes
- Regular and compliance visits by region
- Special visits
- Sectorial breakdown with regional charts

#### Priority Watchlist

The M&E Overview may include **priority watchlist** sections highlighting schemes that need attention (e.g., LTBC, unsatisfactory ratings).

## Business Scenarios

### Scenario: P&D Manager Morning Review

Khalid logs in and opens the Dashboard Overview. He checks **On-going** and **New schemes** counts, reviews the financial snapshot, then clicks a map marker for a scheme he will discuss in today's PDWP meeting.

### Scenario: M&E Officer Weekly Planning

Fatima uses the M&E Dashboard **Visits** tab to see which regions have pending compliance visits. She then opens **Visit Plans** from the sidebar to schedule field work.

### Scenario: Department User Checking Portfolio Scale

A department submitter glances at **Total schemes in BMS** and **PC forms submitted** before opening **Schemes** to find a specific UID for a new PC-I.

## Tips for Trainers

- Show both Dashboard variants if your audience includes P&D and M&E staff.
- Demonstrate clicking a map marker—trainees remember interactive elements.
- Explain that PC-I through PC-V tabs on the P&D Dashboard may show placeholder text until content is fully activated; direct trainees to **Schemes** and **PC Forms** for live workflow work.
